2. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be CA (Chartered Accountant) or CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) qualified from an institute recognized by the appropriate statutory authority in India.
Age Limit: Maximum 29 years as of the last date of application (January 27, 2026). Note: Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-SM candidates as per Government guidelines.
3. Selection Process
The selection involves a multi-stage process:
Online Selection Test: An all-India test consisting of two parts:
Subject Knowledge Test (SKT): Focuses on core accounting and finance knowledge.
Executive Aptitude Test (EAT): Focuses on general aptitude and reasoning.
Candidates must qualify in both sections separately.
Interview & Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates from the online test will be called for a personal interview and document verification.
Final Merit: Based on the combined performance in the online test and the interview.
4. Compensation & Placement
Training: Selected candidates will undergo one year of training at various NTPC locations.
Placement: After successful completion of training, candidates can be posted at any of NTPC's projects, stations, or subsidiary/joint venture companies across India.
Pay Scale: (Typically E2 Grade) Selected candidates are placed in the pay scale of ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 (at the basic pay of ₹40,000 during training).
