CUET UG 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently extended the registration timeline.

2. Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent exam. If you are appearing for your board exams in 2026, you are still eligible to apply.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit set by the NTA for appearing in CUET UG. However, you must check the specific age requirements of the university or college you wish to join.
  • Nationality: Indian citizens, as well as NRI, OCI, and PIO candidates, are eligible.

3. Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and is divided into three main sections. You can choose a maximum of 5 subjects in total.

  • Marking Scheme: +5 for every correct answer; -1 for every incorrect answer.
  • Syllabus: For domain subjects, the questions are strictly based on the NCERT Class 12 syllabus.

4. Registration Fee

The fee depends on the number of subjects you choose and your category:

  • General (UR): ₹1,000 (up to 3 subjects) + ₹400 for each additional subject.
  • OBC-NCL / EWS: ₹900 (up to 3 subjects) + ₹375 for each additional subject.
  • SC / ST / PwBD / Third Gender: ₹800 (up to 3 subjects) + ₹350 for each additional subject.

5. Documents Required

Before starting your application on cuet.nta.nic.in, keep these ready:

  1. Scanned Photo & Signature: (JPG/JPEG format).
  2. Category Certificate: SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificates (if applicable).
  3. Class 10 & 12 Details: Marksheets or roll numbers.
  4. Aadhaar Number: Required for identity authentication.

Note: Ensure your EWS or OBC-NCL certificates are issued on or after January 1, 2026, as per current guidelines.
