For the 2026–27 academic session, the Common University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) or CUET PG 2026 is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).





As of late February 2026, the exam process has entered the final preparation phase. Below is the complete information regarding dates, exam patterns, and procedures.

1. Important Dates (2026)

  • City Intimation Slip Release: Started on February 26, 2026, for exams scheduled on March 6 and 7. Slips for later dates are released in a phased manner.
  • Admit Card Release: Typically available 3 to 4 days before your specific exam date.
  • Exam Window: Conducted from March 6 to March 27, 2026.
  • Provisional Answer Key: Expected in the first week of April 2026.
  • Results (Tentative): May 6, 2026.

2. Updated Exam Pattern

The NTA has implemented significant changes to the structure for the 2026 session:

  • No General Aptitude (Part A): The previous 25-question general section has been removed. The exam now focuses entirely on domain-specific knowledge.
  • Total Questions: 75 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Total Marks: 300 marks.
  • Duration: Reduced to 105 minutes (1 hour 45 minutes).
  • Marking Scheme:
    • +4 marks for every correct answer.
    • -1 mark for every incorrect answer (negative marking).
    • 0 marks for unattempted questions.
  • Medium: Bilingual (English and Hindi), except for Language and Sahitya subjects.

3. Subject & Paper Details

  • Total Subjects: 157 subjects are covered across Science, Humanities, Languages, and Acharya categories.
  • Maximum Papers: Candidates were allowed to select a maximum of 4 test papers.
  • Exam Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
