1. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for NEET UG 2026, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2026 (born on or before Dec 31, 2009). There is no upper age limit.
  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
  • Minimum Marks (PCB Aggregate):
    • General/EWS: 50%
    • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
    • PwD: 45%

2. Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

NEET UG 2026 returns to a non-optional format. All 180 questions are now compulsory.

3. Syllabus Overview

The syllabus is strictly based on the NCERT Class 11 and 12 curriculum.

  • Biology: Diversity of Life, Plant and Human Physiology, Genetics, Evolution, Biotechnology, and Ecology.

4. How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

  1. Registration: Visit neet.nta.nic.in and click "New Registration." Enter your name, email, and mobile number to get an Application Number.
  2. Application Form: Log in and fill in personal details, academic history, and choose two exam cities in order of preference.
  3. Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of the following:
    • Passport Photo (10–200 KB, white background).
    • Signature (4–30 KB).
    • Thumb Impressions (10–200 KB).
    • Class 10 Certificate (for DOB proof).
    • Category Certificate (if applicable).
  4. Fee Payment: Pay via UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit Card.
