The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 update includes critical information regarding the Session 1 answer key challenge and Session 2 registration.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 (January Session)
- Answer Key Challenge Deadline: The window to challenge the provisional answer key and response sheets is open until February 6, 2026, at 11:50 PM.
- Objection Fee: Candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged. Payment must be completed via credit/debit card or net banking by the same deadline.
- Result Date: The final results for Session 1 are scheduled to be declared by February 12, 2026.
- How to Check: Log in to the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in using your application number and date of birth to view the provisional keys and your recorded responses.
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 (April Session)
- Registration Period: Applications for the April session began on February 1, 2026.
- Last Date to Apply: The deadline for online submission of the application form is February 25, 2026 (up to 9:00 PM).
- Fee Payment Deadline: The application fee must be paid by February 25, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM).
- Exam Dates: Session 2 is scheduled to be held between April 2 and April 9, 2026.
- New Candidates vs. Existing: * Candidates who appeared for Session 1 can log in using their existing credentials and pay the fee for Session 2.
- New candidates must complete a fresh registration.
Key Highlights & Changes
- Total Registrations: Over 13.5 lakh candidates registered for Session 1.
- JEE Advanced Eligibility: The top 2,50,000 candidates based on their performance in JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
- Technical Updates: NTA has introduced new features such as mandatory Aadhaar-based biometric verification, live photo capture during registration, and the inclusion of APAAR ID.
