2. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 02/2026 batch, candidates must strictly meet the following:
- Age: Must be born between July 01, 2004, and December 31, 2009. (No age relaxation).
- Educational Qualification: 10th Class (Matriculation) pass with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
- Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates.
- Musical Requirement: Proficiency in playing musical instruments and a basic knowledge of music theory is mandatory.
3. Selection Process
The selection process is divided into four main stages, generally conducted at the same recruitment center over a few days:
Stage I: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

4. Salary & Service Benefits
Agniveers serve for a period of 4 years. The "Seva Nidhi" package is structured as follows:
- Year 1: ₹30,000 per month (₹21,000 in-hand + ₹9,000 to Corpus Fund).
- Year 2: ₹33,000 per month (₹23,100 in-hand).
- Year 3: ₹36,500 per month (₹25,550 in-hand).
- Year 4: ₹40,000 per month (₹28,000 in-hand).
Exit Benefit: After 4 years, you receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 Lakh (your contribution + government's matching contribution + interest).
5. Physical Standards & Appearance
- Height: Minimum 157 cm for both males and females.
- Vision: 6/12 (Uncorrected) and 6/6 (Corrected) with a "Pass" in Colour Perception.
- Tattoos: Permitted only on the inner face of forearms and the back (dorsal) part of the hand.
